Above is an image sent to me by Jean-Luc Delhougne, a talented animator from Belgium.
I just finished up another term teaching animation at the online school AnimationMentor.com. This term I taught the polishing and portfolio class which is the final class in the program. I had some super talented students and I will be expecting big things from them.

La navette Discovery a décollé lundi matin, comme prévu, du centre spatial Kennedy, à Cap Canaveral. Elle atteindra mercredi la Station spatiale internationale (SSI).Elle doit acheminer à travers l'espace dix tonnes d'équipement et de fournitures, notamment des armoires d'expériences scientifiques, un système de refroidissement et un congélateur qui servira à conserver les échantillons.Discovery emporte aussi dans sa soute divers appareils qui serviront à étudier l'atrophie des muscles, ainsi qu'un nouveau sas d'hébergement qui permettra aux locataires de la station de mieux dormir.L'équipe qui est montée à bord est composée de trois femmes (deux Américaines et une Japonaise) et de quatre hommes (trois Américains).Trois autres vols sont programmés pour les navettes avant leur retrait, fin 2010 : Endeavour s'envolera en mai, Atlantis en juillet et Discovery fermera le bal en septembre.Ensuite, il faudra utiliser les capsules russes Soyouz pour voyager jusqu'à l'ISS. Le prix de la place devrait dépasser les 50 millions de dollars.

Why do I ride? I ride to make a difference...

This is where my journey begins. It's no small feat to bike from Montreal to Quebec City over 2 days, but it pails in comparison to what so many people around the world deal with every day in their fight against cancer.

Both of my parents are cancer survivors & there is a good chance I will have to face this battle at some point in my own life. We need to do our part in any way we can. So for those of us who aren't in the field of research, cancer or otherwise we have to give a small donation that may just turn out to be the difference in life or death in someone’s life.

Not so long ago the words "cancer survivor" didn't exist. The research that's been done so far has changed the lives of so many, but we still have so much more we need to do. So give generously & who knows, your donation might be the life & death difference in the life of someone you know.
